I have BMW 320D 51 Reg and has got 157.000miles. everytime I've done the service thrugh BMW, however just recently I relised after I start the engine in the morning there is no smoke but if I leave the car for about 5 min to warm up then as soon as I start driving I can see a blue-ish smoke I cant say its black smoke, this lasts for a short period then happens when I move off especialy when I spent a bit of time standing like in traffic lights then on moving againg I can see heavy smoke till I move abut 50 to 70 yards then reduces to normal, I do not give a hard time to the engine, no matter how smooth I drive away this still happens, by the way recently I relised its burning a bit too much oil also, is there anything serious by the sound of it, please help. RemiI was a mechanic of the car in Japan.I have seen a similar symptom. Blue smoke rises when oil burns. Therefore, the engine oil leaks into the cylinder from the oil seal of the valves. I think that it need to repair the cylinder head of the engine.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
