What are good rock bands of the 21st century?

  • i think modern rock is crap. Convince me otherwise because the whiney boy band crap (ahem falloutboy) is driving me crazy. I like radiohead, the black keys, kings of leon... yeah thats pretty much it for the 21st century. I'm getting tired of listening to the same music over and over on my ipod so please help!

    Tenacious D (many vulgar lyrics but funny lyrics)
    Raconteurs
    White Stripes
    System Of A Down
    Red Hot Chili Peppers

    I can only think of those right now some may be from before this century but are still active and Down With The Boyband Rock Wannabe's!


  • Well, personally, I think the few good rock bands out there still making new material are the ones who kept it alive 20 and even 30 years ago. Iron Maiden's "A Matter of Life and Death" kicked a$$, and Megadeth's "United Abominations" was a nice comeback.

    But if you want music REALLY from this century, check out Early Man, which is very reminiscent of 80's thrash, and the singer sounds a lot like Ozzy.
