My rat kieta is starting to get really skinny. To the point that you can feel almost every bone in her body. And shes only 7 months old. Ive tried changing her food, and that didnt work. I also checked her teeth and they aren't over grown. Now i don't really know what to do. Can anyone help me out?she has probably well and truly reached her adult size now so there is no good reason for her to be losing weight. She might be bored at best and really sick at worse. How is she going generally? Is she still as active as ever or is she becoming more lethargic say? Unfortunately it sounds like a vet visit is required. somethings wrong wit her take her 2 tha vetTake her to the vet! She might have a tummy problem or a sore throat. When rats have a tummy problem they will often stop eating simply because they have no gag reflex. I have also found that when some of my rats developed tumors they also stopped eating.
