Dying my hair over and over again.?

March 15th, 2010 by , under nnmj.com.

  • i had this dream that i was with a bunch of my newer friends (it might be because i was with them last night) and we were in my bathroom. we got in trouble for something and got kicked out of my room by the police? so we went in my bathroom and filled up the tub and dunked our heads in. we all started cutting and dying our hair. i kept dying it all different styles and i just couldnt keep something i liked. i looked in the mirror and it didnt even look like myself anymore. then my friend dyed her hair the way mine used to be and i got mad and kept yelling at her for stealing my individuality or something stupid..

what the hell..? haha give me your thoughts please on what this means :) thanks.

  • woah that's crazy :]
Well my advice would be that it's because you are starting to try and find out who you are and it's a very frustrating thing that could be getting in the way of your friendship even though you consciously think that's ridiculous to ever let something like that get in the way, subconsciously it is.
And for me, when I was younger and going through lot's of hard times, every time an event occured I would do something different to my hair.
My natural hair color is dark brown, I've been blonde and had really short hair that didn' even touch my neck, i've had red hair on top and black underneath that went halfway down my back, i've had black hair, and now I'm back to dark brown with bangs :]
    It's exciting.
It always keeps life interesting, and I always feel like a new person once I do it, which helps me to change into a better person because I feel like I have a fresh start.
    I Hope i helped you :]

  • Your new friends must be different (in personality and the like) than your usual friends. Dying your hair color after color is probably significant of yourself trying on different personalities to go along with the various people you hang out with. You're somewhat hesitant (even if subconsciously) about being friends with this crowd or the specific friend who stole your old hair style. You want to change but you're not ready to give up what you are right now.

  • im no expert but it seems like you want to fit in to different groups and be accepted but still keep your individuality

  • Since you were with newer friends, there may be a personal tendency to try and conform to what they may like or expect of you. Also, they may not have a good idea what they really want, either.(Shown by the fact that all of you kept cutting and dyeing). I think it may be a warning to try and stay consistent in your own behavior, regardless of what they may do. You know how they say 'imitation is the most sincere form of flattery'? Well, the friend in the dream that styled her hair like you had styled yours may just be doing that: flattering by imitating. If it happens in real life, try not to take it personally.

    Hope this helps.
