Do you think immortal technique dissed nas in this song?

    i think he dissed 50 cent in this song
    but there's this one part of the song if you skip to 3:21 "you eating off rap and i hope you choke on your gimmick, ni%&&az say hip-hop is dead but i'm evoking the spirit"

    i don't think it's a nas diss but some people do
    what do you think?


  • Truthfully I don't think it is. He would be stupid for doing that with losing alot of his fans and also he probably would lose that beef.


  • Sounds like a subliminal. Just cause a rapper references or takes a jab at another one doesn't mean they don't respect them. Common has taken multiple shots at Nas

    And Nas came back with
    "Common n*ggas don't want beef they vegetarian"

    So I wouldn't put it past Immortal Technique to have consciously phrased it like that. Even if he is a Nas fan. Hell, Eminem even has a subliminal to Nas on "I Just Don't Give a F*ck"

    EDIT: //// You are pretty much are proving my point. The lines I quoted are quotes...as in word for word, what Common said on records. Which if you can read are clearly references to Nas. My point was that just because a line can be taken as a subliminal doesn't mean the rapper who wrote it is trying to beef.

    There's really no argument to win here. Common made subliminal references to Nas in his songs, that is a fact, go listen to the songs "Chi City" and "6th Sense". And Nas took a shot back on "Don't Body Yourself", that is also a fact.

    he references nas in the secret song at the end of "dance with the devil" where he says "you won't make it home like jerome's niece" like nas said in "one love" where nas says "guess who got shot in the dome piece? jerome's niece"

    so, no i don't think he's dissing nas.

    Nas is one of the kings of hip hop. So, whatever he chooses to entitle his album, I m with it. He s entitled to express himself, he said. He can title his album what he wants because he s Nas. You know?
