Problem with audio in embeding video

  • Hi everybody,

    I am trying to embed a video file (MPG) in a Flash Movie. The problem is that when I follow the Import Video steps, the video is imported without the audio.

    Can enyone help me with this, please?

  • I am just importing a music video (I have tried several videos and none worked) into Flash. Then when I test the movie, the video plays but without the audio. I then imported an audio file (MP3) and it plays without problem.
    I searched on Macromedia's documents, and the audio encoding portion of the interface for the encoder appears dimmed when the video has audio embedded. But that does not explain that my imported video does not play the audio.

  • Ok, this is funny. I tried importing a file .MOV and the audio and video worked fine.

    Is there any way to make it work with a MPG?

    ?


  • convert it to FLV with the external FLV encoder.... it's in your flash directory.... it has alot more options


  • Besides, the Encode Audio options, both in the importing video window in Flash, and in the Video Encoder, appear dimmed.....
